As Jesus progresses in his sermon, it appears his way gets more and more narrow and difficult to follow: That’s because it is. … More Lessons from the Mountainside 28

We receive not because we ask not. If we never seek God and his provision, then we have no excuse in our worry. Choosing to trust God and seeking his Kingdom first replaces worry with trust. When I live in trust, I can more easily give to others. … More Lessons from the Mountainside 27

Jesus uses a vivid illustration to remind us that there are some who are not ready to listen to the good news of the kingdom of God. Let him deal with those as you focus on the ones with hearts prepared to receive. … More Lessons from the Mountainside 26

Jesus knows that it’s the little things that trip us up with worry, that’s why he drew illustrations from birds and wildflowers when telling us to nip it in the bud. Seeking God’s Kingdom and righteousness was the way to go and still is. … More Lessons from the Mountainside 24

Serving God is rewarding, but not always in the way the world might expect. We don’t serve for earthly reward but for heavenly ones to come. Where is your treasure? That’s where your heart will be. … More Lessons from the Mountainside 22

Know Jesus

If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, you can do it today by simply confessing your need for a Savior, acknowledging your sin and asking for Christ to cleanse you and make you whole. If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Do not delay!
